Make sure they are the same if you can’t see them look at the number of stars or dots. Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply. Doing a send and receive manually or waiting on the scheduled send and receive on the client does not update new mail items.

Furthermore, when calendar invites are accepted using the Outlook client, they disappear from All Mail and go into the Trash folder, but when using WebMail, they remain in the Inbox. I have seen this disparity for years across different Outlook client versions and Windows versions. I also posted on Outlook Login Issues Troubleshooting the Gmail subreddit about a year ago.

I have several email accounts / IMAP set-up. So looking at my tree of disable faulty add-ins in Outlook email accounts one inbox might have 10 mail total and 3 unread form earlier. It's not until I click on that folder I will then see the 10 and 3 and two second later it will sync and new ones will populate. The issue is; just looking at my email accounts and the numbers shown next to the folders I cant tell if there is new mail or not until I click on them.
Chosen solution
I have all desktop alerts turned off I prefer it this way I don't need all of that. I just want to be able to look and see new message. Even if I have an account with zero message I need to click to see the new ones there are no numbers appear. I am also running QuickFolders and its the same nothing shows up on those tabs until i physically click on them. Ok so my mistake the Properties option is there when right clicking folder - I was only focused on right clicking on the email address to take me to server setting I was not clicking on the actual folder. I right click a folder and Properties and it take me to attached windows.
My accounts in Mail app stopped to sync post update
While these solutions work, there is are chance that it will happen again. To avoid that, you have to take some Fix Outlook and Office 365 Errors 2025 precautionary steps. Pit Stop - Most of our email accounts are for small retail location. We just use POP in those locations because they do not access their mail from any other device or location.
Delete Confirmation
Just a few seconds after sending, my phone will show that I have a new message on my IMAP, but currently I have been waiting 10 minutes on my Outlook (2 send and receives) and no email listed yet. If an IMAP Inbox isn't displaying new messages as they arrive at the server, but only when the Inbox is selected, there is something wrong with the setup. Run TB in safe mode (hold Shift when you launch TB) and see if it makes any difference. Note also that when you click Get Messages, only the currently selected account is checked; click the drop-down to check a specific account or Get All New Messages (Shift+F5). The setting isn't present for folders that are automatically checked, such as Inbox.
Meanwhile, the “connecting” or “Checking for mail…” just stays on the bottom status bar of the mail app.Apple programmers use no CD/CI - simple sometimes update by “sales-manager requests”, and without any critical-bug-checks …Maybe some encoding behavior or just a different linefeed or something that has changed over the years…But many users run into the problem where their important IMAP folders are not syncing or stop updating. It's just a little bit technical, but we have an IMAP proxy that chooses from some different backend IMAP servers. When you are dealing with any problem, it is important to understand the reasons behind the issues.I have half dozen mail accounts a few microsoft a gamil and some other ones and there is no difference they are all acting the same.
I deleted the Apple Mail app from the phone, reinstalled from the App Store. It's just a little bit technical, but we have an IMAP proxy that chooses from some different backend IMAP servers. If the user account ends up on an old IMAP server implementation (in that case f.i. a Cyrus imapd 2.4.17), IMAP Client of iOS 18 Mail app doesn't work.
If I click off of inbox and down to sent item, then click back on inbox, all of the new mail will populate. The problem can be caused by either improper settings or a damaged send/receive group within Outlook. At first, I was thinking it may be an issue with certificates, but it's not… I went to a bunch of online TLS tests and the mail server is fine and the certificates are trusted… So only wait when some “smarties” from apple IT solve problem in app … Apple programmers use no CD/CI - simple sometimes update by “sales-manager requests”, and without any critical-bug-checks …
Everything works great for the most part, except with our IMAP users. IMAP users are not receiving new email into their inboxes unless they either click off of Inbox and back on, or close outlook and reopen. These are the common reasons why the IMAP folder is not syncing.
