We have recently received some reports of users who are experiencing issues with subscribing to .ics/ical calendars. This fix will also lead to a reduction in the total number of contacts on your contact list. We will ensure that all information is retained and only contacts with matching information in all fields will be cleaned up. To check if you have received the fix, review your contact list to confirm duplicates have been removed.
Get Help has troubleshooters you can run for many common scenarios. If a troubleshooter is available for your issue, select Start to run that troubleshooter. Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background. Outlook forwards meeting invitations to other attendees without anyone actually sending an update or forwarding an invite. This happens to accounts that are configured in the iOS Mail app. Until you can install the Windows Update fix release, you can set a registry key that will cause Outlook to stop using the local Windows Search service. When this registry key is set, Outlook will use its own built-in search engine. The built-in search will display the message below to indicate it is not using the Windows Search service. Some customers may experience a delay when trying to create a new email address, or alias, for their Outlook.com account.
