If you lose your connection to the internet, classic Outlook won't be able to send your messages. To fix this problem, on the ribbon, select the Send/Receive tab, then, in the Preferences group, select Work Offline to toggle between offline mode and online mode. You may need to open the message and send it again or choose Send/Receive.
We have recently received some reports of users who are experiencing issues with subscribing to .ics/ical calendars. This fix will also lead to a reduction in the total number of contacts on your contact list. We will ensure that all information is retained and only contacts with matching information in all fields will be cleaned up. To check if you have received the fix, review your contact list to confirm duplicates have been removed.
Currently, you can't use Outlook on Windows to edit calendars that are shared with your Outlook.com account, even if you've reconnected your Outlook.com account to Outlook. We're working to make it possible to edit shared calendars in Outlook 2016 for Windows. If you are having issues sending email, this might be due to validation issues with your Microsoft Account. This alias will be added to their account as a secondary alias, with the original 3rd party alias will continue to be set up as the primary. If Outlook is performing some operation on hundreds or thousands of messages at once, it might appear to be stuck. Give Outlook a few minutes to finish the process and it should start to work again. If you used the workaround below you can now switch from using an Outlook.com alias to your country's domain. If filling in the right info doesn’t work or if your other provider doesn’t provide POP access, contact the provider. If you have Outlook in your startup folder, remove the shortcut from the startup Fix Outlook Problems folder. Ensure that your firewall or antivirus is not blocking the connection.
If so, wait a short time (usually two or three minutes) to see if Outlook starts working again. A profile is a group of settings that controls how Outlook works.
