I’m used to the grip snugging up to fill my strong hand and now it feels different. Having shot a lot with Gen 3 and 4 Glocks, I find the lack of finger grooves notable. The Gen 5 brings very little that is new to the shooting experience, with 2 notable exceptions. So if you’re a lefty, switch the mag-release to the right and you have a fully-left-handed pisto

It will likely take a short while before manufacturers are prepared to offer Gen 5 light-bearing models. IF YOU CARRY A GLOCK 19 WITH A LIGHT, note that the Gen 5 with a light will not likely fit your Kydex light-bearing holster. The Gen 5 also features only one pin near the locking block instead of the 2 pins common to recent generations. Scratches and flaked-off finish after the Glock 19 Gen 5 was dropped onto gravel repeatedly during training. The location of the magazine release is good and I only have to modify my grip slightly to get my medium-sized hands into position to actuate it (as I do on every pistol made). For those of you who like Glock pistols, but not the grip finger grooves, the Gen 5 comes with a flat-face frontstrap on the grip. The G19 V pistol features the GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB), nDLC surface finish, front serrations, an ambidextrous slide stop lever, and more. The reversible magazine catch and ambidextrous slide stop lever make it ideal for left and right-handed shooters. The new frame design without finger grooves still allows to instantly customize its grip to accommodate any hand size by mounting the different Beavertail Backstraps. The very slightly wider frame means that the takedown tabs are ever so slightly more recessed than on previous generation model

I am looking to purchase my first firearm… Shooters World is Florida’s largest firearm store, indoor public shooting range, and training glock 19 for sale facility. glock 19 for sale Should I purchase it online or wait for my local gun show in a few weeks? Now I am interested in buying one, and glock 19 for sale would like a recommendation on where should I purchase on

ALL PISTOLS In 1980, the Austrian Armed Forces announced that it would seek tenders for a new, modern duty pistol to replace their World War II–era Walther P38 handguns. In October 2025, Glock announced a major “right-sizing” initiative, ceasing production of over thirty variants to streamline manufacturing and introduce redesigned components to mitigate full-auto conversion. This led to lawsuits filed by the states of Minnesota and New Jersey in 2024, and legislation in glock 19 for sale California in 2025 (Assembly Bill 1127), aimed at forcing design changes to prevent such conversions. The widespread adoption of the design has made the Glock rise in popularity and a subject of gun control debates. First-generation models The striker firing mechanism has a spring-loaded firing pin that is cocked in two stages that the firing pin spring powers. This camming action terminates the barrel's movement while the slide continues back under recoil, extracting and ejecting the spent cartridge casing. A ramped lug extension at the base of the barrel then interacts with a glock 19 for sale tapered locking block integrated into the frame, forcing the barrel down and unlocking it from the slide. During the recoil stroke, the barrel moves rearward initially locked together with the slide about 3 mm (0.12 in) until the bullet leaves the barrel and chamber pressure drops to a safe level. Glock plans to replace the discontinued models in December with “V” designations after the model numbers, which will feature redesigned trigger bars and rear plates designed to prevent the use of full-auto switche

Barrel The slide and barrel shelf have been resized, and the front portion of the polymer frame has been widened and internally enlarged, to accommodate the dual recoil spring assembly. Mechanically, fourth-generation Glock pistols are fitted with a dual recoil spring assembly to help reduce perceived recoil and increase service life expectancy. The basic grip size of the fourth-generation Glock pistols is slightly smaller compared to the previous design. Besides that, non-firing dummy pistols (“P” models) and non-firing dummy pistols with resetting triggers (“R” models) have a bright red frame, and Simunition-adapted practice pistols (“T” models) a bright blue frame for easy identification. The first-generation (Gen 1) Glock pistols are most notably recognized by their smoother “pebble finish” grip and finger groove-less frame

As is typical of pistols chambered in .357 SIG, each of the standard Glock models (31, 32, and 33) may be easily converted to the corresponding .40 S&W chambering (Glock 22, 23, and 27, respectively) simply by replacing the barrel. As is typical of many pistols chambered in .40 S&W, each of the standard Glock models (22, 23, and 27) may be easily converted to the corresponding .357 SIG chambering (Glock 31, 32, and 33, respectively) simply by replacing the barrel. These models have bigger, wider slides and frames and are larger than the smaller-chambered pistols. In addition, Glock produces optional triggers, recoil springs, slide stops, magazine release levers, and maritime spring cup
