The root cause was the deployment of an incorrect campaign data file, which led to false positive campaign detection. We have since reverted to the right data file and the outbound email flow has returned to a normal state. We also released a new rule that corrected the wrong campaign verdict for all impacted customers during the incident. If you've successfully sent and received email from classic Outlook before, and now Outlook repeatedly asks you to reenter your password, one of two things may have happened.
Please install the latest updates on your phone to resolve the issue. Microsoft has released a Windows Hotfix file to remove the contacts folder synced by the Teams app. To help you get rid of these duplicates, we have released a fix which will Outlook repair tips and tricks automatically clean up your contact list. Restart Outlook and try to reproduce the problem. Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent. To update your password in Outlook, see Change or update your email password. If you're having problems setting up your email in classic Outlook, we want to help. You can start Outlook in safe mode, disable your add-ins, and then try to open Outlook normally.
We have recently received some reports of users who are experiencing issues with subscribing to .ics/ical calendars. This fix will also lead to a reduction in the total number of contacts on your contact list. We will ensure that all information is retained and only contacts with matching information in all fields will be cleaned up. To check if you have received the fix, review your contact list to confirm duplicates have been removed.
Use the classic Outlook for Windows connectivity troubleshooter to troubleshoot Outlook connectivity issues. Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent. If a Microsoft 365 application such as Word or Excel isn't working correctly, sometimes restarting it will fix the problem. You can move forward or backward through calendar months using the arrows above the calendar. At the top of the message list, you can choose how you want to view the list. In the Search box, type the name or email address of a person or a keyword you want to search for, and press Enter or select . When you select a specific day in the calendar, any appointment or event scheduled for that day is listed in this area.
Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background. Auto-archive, sending and receiving a very large attachment, or running some of the other mailbox tools Outlook repair tips and tricks can all be done in the background. Check the status bar at the bottom of the screen to see if another process is running. If so, wait a short time (usually two or three minutes) to see if Outlook starts working again.
